Now, those are just a couple of things that I personally have.  The Diaper Cupcakes were a gift for the Bear’s baby shower, back when we were calling him “Speedy” and not Bear.  The “Under the Sea” theme tied in perfectly with his turtle nursery decor.

And can I just tell you how precious he is in his “J” shirt?  The shirt washed and dried beautifully, with no problems whatsoever with the initial puckering or the stitching coming loose.  Charla is a very driven woman, and she’s  not going to do anything halfway.  She definitely makes high-quality products.

My sister turned me on to another deal site this morning.  Plum District works a lot like Groupon by offering fantastic daily deals.  Today’s Plum District deal is a “Plum Steal”:  for only $5, you can get a $10 gift card to Papa Murphy’s.  Papa Murphy’s has take-and-bake pizzas that are soooooo good.  I really like the Chicken Bacon Artichoke D-Lite pizza, and the Veggie D-Lite, and the Mediterranean Chicken, and the . . .

Anyway, most Papa Murphy’s pizzas are $9.99, so you could get a delicious, oven-fresh pizza for only $5–the same price you’d pay for frozen at the grocery store, only much, much yummier.

Giveaway #3: Taggies from Grandma’s Goodies

Two winners will be selected for today’s Nix9to5 giveaway.  I will be giving away two taggies care of Grandma’s Goodies by Karon Clark.  These handmade taggies are made of smooth satin on one side and fluffy fleece on the other, and flanked by various ribbon “tags,” providing your baby with a variety of comforting textures.  They also contain a silky cord to hold a pacifier, which makes finding a dropped binky very convenient!  These are great for your own baby or for a gift.  (I just realized I switched the taggies’ order in these pics–the snowflake taggie has a blue satin backing, and the penguin taggie has the green.)

Karon is the Bear’s “Grand-other,” mother of his Auntastic.  She is a NICU nurse with five grandchildren, so she KNOWS babies!!  She has made three taggies for the Bear–the idea being that he could have a “spare” if one were unavailable.  Instead, Bear takes ALL the taggies to bed.

The taggies are durable, and have withstood two years of baby drool, lovin’, and machine washing.  Bear’s are embroidered with his name, which also makes it convenient to take them to Mother’s Day Out without marring by labeling them with a sharpie. Grandma’s Goodies also makes baby blankets (Bear has two!), bibs, and pillow cases.

Grandma’s Goodies does not have a website, an Etsy site, or a Facebook page–just a phone number, which you may be able to see in the pictures–if not, contact me and I’ll give you the number so you can order.  To enter the contest, all you have to do is post a comment below saying (1) what your child’s favorite “lovey” is, (2) what your favorite lovey was as a child, OR (3) which taggie you will choose if selected.  TWO winners will be selected randomly via Random.org, and will each receive one of these taggies.
