What’s the Bzz?

// May 19th, 2010 // Couponing, Life in General, Opportunities

I signed up to be a BzzAgent a while back, which is not a way to make money, but it is a way to get to try products for free.  I recently got my first BzzCampaign, which means I got a product to try and report to my friends on what I think about it.

I received a full-size Cover Girl Shine Blast lip gloss and Smoky Shadow Blast eye shadow duo.  The lip gloss is bright pink in the tube, and while I thought it would be way too bright (but would be a fantastic toenail polish color for summer) it was actually quite sheer and pretty.  Like all lip glosses, though, it didn’t last particularly long.  Still, it is something I would probably buy again.

For the eyeshadow, I got Smoky Shadow Blast in Silver Sky.  Looking at the shadow in its packaging, it looks like dark, dark purple and charcoal–almost black.  However, when I put it on, I was surprised at how light and sheer it was.  I actually had to apply more than I thought I would, because it was so pale and shimmery.  It’s not my usual look, but I liked it a lot, and I think it will be a very nice look for spring and summer–very feminine.  My one problem with the shadow stick was that it broke right away.  It’s still usable, but I just hate it when my makeup breaks, whether it is a broken lipstick or a shattered blush.

Now let’s make this blog interactive.  Head over to Cover Girl Blast’s homepage and check it out.  Post a comment here or on my Facebook page telling me what you think of it and/or which color of shadow or lip gloss you are most likely to try.  I have several two more $2 off coupons to give to readers who comment while supplies last.

(By the way, some Cover Girl products are BOGO at CVS this week, so if you hurry, you could get a great deal!)

I’ve been wanting to buy some new eye shadow, but you know me, cheap, cheap, cheap. I actually haven’t worn eye shadow, except for special occassions, in a few years (READ: since becoming a mom). It just seemed like a step I could skip. So, I would try the Smoky Shadow Blast. I would love to say I’m going to step out of my box and try something like Purple Plume, but being honest, I’d probably play it safe and go with Bronze Fire. Not very summery, huh?

You’d like the shadow, then. Easy and quick to apply. Use the contact form to send me the address you want me to mail your coupon to (since I know you are between addresses).

I’m a sucker for some lip gloss! (I still get Bonnie Bell LipSmackers in my stocking every year.) I may have to branch out and give this gloss a try! Almost out of eyeshadow, too, and that pencil sure does look easy and fast….

Mandy, the gloss I got even has a hint of fruity flavor, which I know you’ll love. :)
