It’s Official
// April 23rd, 2010 // Work at Home
I told my principal that I will not becoming back to work next year. Instead, I’ll be staying home with the Bear.
To be honest, I’m not sure how we are going to make it work. I just know that, now, we have to make it work.
As of June 3, I’ll officially be a work-at-home mom.
Wish me luck!!

It’ll work out. Congratulations and good luck!
That is so exciting! And probably slightly terrifying. I have no doubt you can make it work!
Nicci, I have a feeling that you guys will be just fine
I also think you will be one happy lady and your little Bear will love it too!
We are losing a great, creative, and fun educator. However, I know you and Bear will have a wonderful time at home.
You are all so great. I’ve really worked hard to get us this far, but I wasn’t sure it would pay off. I’m still not entirely convinced we won’t be subsisting on ramen noodles and beanie weenies by November, but if we don’t try it now, I’m not sure we’ll ever be able to.
How old is the bear? A couple of books about toddler-types have really saved my sanity the last year. One is The Emotional Life of the Toddler by Lieberman, and the other is The Toddler Busy Book by Kuffner.
The Bear is just shy of 18 months. The Toddler Busy Book sounds like it would be a sanity saver! Thanks for the advice.
Having a huge project to work on this weekend with my husband out of town has really given me a taste of what it is going to be like working from home–exhausting!
