Survey says . . .

// March 17th, 2010 // Opportunities, Work at Home

One of the things I have started doing to try to earn a little extra money is completing surveys online.  This has not earned me heaps of cash, it will not be a way to help me stay home, and I don’t expect to retire at 40 as a millionaire because of it.  It does earn me $10 bucks or so every so often, and $10 for relatively little work is okay by me.

Right now, I am completing surveys for 4 companies:  Survey Savvy, MySurvey.com, PineCone Research, and American Consumer Opinion.  Each of these offers different ways of compensation:  some provide “rewards points” that you can redeem for products or cash in whenever you reach a certain amount; some provide cash for each survey; and some provide product samples and cash compensation.

Right now, one of the companies provided a supply of, um, feminine products.  After I use them, I’ll review them and get $4. Not much, but a free month of “products” and a little bit of cash.  And actually, I like the product so much, if I can figure out what brand it is (it comes in an unmarked package), I’m going to switch from the brand I’ve been using 24 years.  That’s an unexpected benefit.

PineCone Research is a little different from the others.  They don’t accept unsolicited referrals, but you can apply on their site.  They do pay cash for each completed survey.

Like I said, you won’t get rich doing surveys, but they don’t take much time, you do get rewarded, and sometimes, the surveys are kind of interesting.  I don’t feel scammed by any of the companies above, and I haven’t received a bunch of junk mail as a result of signing up with them–which is something I was worried about.  Overall, I’ve been pretty happy with Survey Savvy, MySurvey.com, American Consumer Opinion, and PineCone Research.  Use the links above or in the banner ads to join.
